Kim Chan (김찬; CHÁN; Kyle) is a soloist under The Vault. He was a competitor on Produce 101 Season 2. He ranked #82 in episode 5 and was eliminated.
Career & History
In 2018, Kim Chan was announced as a member of the upcoming boy group ATEEN. The group was steadily promoting in Japan with rumors to officially debut in Korea in 2019.
In February of 2019 some of the ATEEN members came forward with sexual assault allegations against their company's CEO and the CEO's wife. It is uncertain of what will transpose or what this means for the group's future. It has been rumored that the group disbanded and the members left the company, but nothing has been confirmed. No further information has been made public since the sexual assault allegations. However, it is assumed the group has disbanded and the members have left DS&A.
On December 26, 2019, he was announced as a member of the pre-debut group UTH. The group has presumably disbanded before their official debut as their SNS has been inactive since early 2020.
On March 14 2022, Chan, now under stage name Kyle, was revealed for the new upcoming five-member boy group called AMBITION with a poster about their concerts in Japan. They released their pre-debut single “Inception” on June 9, 2023.
On October 18, 2024, he was revealed as a contestant on Project 7 but was unable to pass the survival round.
On February 17, 2025 it was announced that he would be debuting as a soloist with the digital single "Saucy" under the stage name CHÁN. On February 20, he debuted as a soloist and revealed he signed under the agency The Vault.
