DIA (다이아) is an eight-member girl group under MBK Entertainment.

Career & History
DIA is a shortening of diamond, as well as an acronym for Do It Amazing.
DIA debuted on September 14th, 2015 with Album Do It Amazing and its title track "Somehow".[1]
Chaeyeon and Heehyun took hiatus from the group to participate in Produce 101 Season 1 in 2016, and rejoined the group after the show was over.
In early July, 2019 MBK announced that Jenny would be leaving DIA due to health concerns.[2]
On May 25, 2020, it was revealed that DIA would make a comeback with their sixth EP Flower 4 Seasons on June 10.[3] MBK later confirmed that the group will promote with five members as a unit without Chaeyeon & Somyi.[4]
In November 2020, it was announced that the group was preparing to make a comeback in January 2021 with Chaeyeon rejoining promotions. However, this never came to be.
On January 9, 2022, PocketDol Studio announced that Somyi officially left the group and terminated her contract with her company after a year and a half long hiatus.
On May 11, 2022, Edaily reported that DIA was planning on releasing their last album in August before their contracts expire. Hours later, PocketDol Studio confirmed the statement about the group preparing an album, but also added that they haven't decided if it was going to be their last album.
On September 6, 2022, DIA released a coming soon schedule, confirming that they would release the digital single titled "Rooting For You" on September 15. Later that same day, it was announced that the single's release would be moved up one day to the 14th to coincide with the group's 7th anniversary. Additionally, member Yebin highlighted that despite DIA's contracts expiring, the group would not be disbanding and that they would still be a group to promote and release albums together in the near future, albeit the members being under different agencies. However, nothing has been released from them since.
